Dr Mary Gregory was raised in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Chemistry from Southwest State University and her optometry degree from the University of Missouri School of Optometry. Dr Gregory is Board Certified in Optometry and also in Vision Development. The Minnesota Optometric Association named Dr. Gregory “2007 Young OD of the Year” for her achievements in the optometric field on local state and national levels. She is on the Diabetic Advisory Committee at the Monticello/Big Lake Hospital and the Minnesota Optometric Association’s Membership Committee, Chair of the Children’s Vision Committee, and on the Speaker Committee. In 2011 Dr. Gregory was elected to serve on the Board of Trustees for the Minnesota Optometric Association. She recently testified in front of the MN Senate Education Committee on requiring mandatory eye exams for children entering kindergarten.
In 2014, Dr. Gregory was nationally recognized with the Dr. W. David Sullins, Jr. InfantSEE® Award, which honors an individual doctor of optometry who has made significant contributions to the field of optometry, has impacted his/her community with outstanding public service involving the InfantSEE program, and who exemplifies Dr. Sullins’ inspiring and passionate leadership as a driving force in the profession of optometry. Also in 2014, Dr Gregory was also named Health Care Practioner of the Year for the state of Minnesota by Minnesota Business Magazine due to her work with children’s vision and learning.
Dr Gregory is passionate about her work in vision development, reading and learning and the visual effects of traumatic brain injury. She also has a therapy clinic, Omni Vision & Learning Center, where she works with patients in need of visual rehabilitation.
Dr Gregory now lives in Becker, MN with her husband and two children. She sees patients at Uptown Eye Care of Monticello, MN and at Omni Vision & Learning Center also located in Monticello MN.
